About our GroupDarken Background
At Chiropractic Partners, our chiropractors offer highly advanced chiropractic treatments for severe pain caused by automobile accidents, personal injuries, sports injuries, and more. These injuries are often very traumatic to the body and require gentle intervention by an experienced chiropractor to not only heal them, but keep them from becoming worse.
Our chiropractors start with a comprehensive diagnostic exam and consultation to determine the source of your pain. Then we create an individual chiropractic treatment plan designed to help you achieve lasting relief of neck pain or back pain as well as lifelong health.
Chiropractic Partners was founded in 1995 and today stands as the oldest, largest, most respected, most preferred chiropractic provider in the state.
What is Chiropractic Partners and how did it start? (Dr. Armstrong) In the early 1990’s, many of you will remember, that was the advent of what we call managed care. Many insurance companies were trying to identify what they call paneled physicians. (Dr. Schmid)Third party payers, like Blue Cross Blue Shield, big providers, wanted to sign group practices. (Dr. Nelson)Managed care needed more than one chiropractor in an area, and they saw that we probably did need to have a group, and as far as I know I don’t know of many other groups in the United States who do what we do. (Dr. Schmid) We became more of a group practice, in the sense that we all have similar treatment methods, all of our philosophies are very similar, and I think over the years, we have taken in one or two extra people that we really liked and that we really wanted to have be a part of our practice. (Dr. Baldy) We combine our knowledge, our staffs, and try to get people better. We have thirteen doctors, and eleven offices spread throughout the Triangle. If someone hears about one office, we can refer them to others if it’s more convenient and so forth. (Dr. Armstrong) Each individual office is run by each physician. We don’t move around offices, we just market ourselves collectively. (Dr. Smith) We are like-minded doctors that understood the needs of the population and their needs for chiropractic but shared a similar mindset of trustworthiness, good techniques, to help offset the needs of managed care. I know that if I sent someone to a doctor on Six Forks Road, or to a doctor in Durham, or if someone transfers and moves to another area, I know that they’re going to a doctor that is going to care about them, that’s going to give them the kind of care that I gave them, that is going to have a good bedside manner, that’s going to be fair with them, that’s going to tell them the truth, and that’s going to help them.
